Privacy Policy

Her Field Journal is a personal blog written by Tionna Honaker in Montana. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit, in plain language. If anything here is unclear, email me at [email protected] and I will answer.

The short version

I do not run analytics on this site. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, and no advertising pixel. I do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, ever. The only information I ask for is what you type into the newsletter signup or the contact form.

What you give me on purpose

If you subscribe to the newsletter, the signup form collects your first name, your email address, and whichever topic you pick from the dropdown. That form is hosted by GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), which stores the information and sends the emails on my behalf. I use it to write to you. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.

If you write to me through the contact form, it collects your name, your email address, and your message. That form is also hosted by GoHighLevel, and I use what you send only to reply to you. It does not ask for your phone number, and I do not send text messages.

If you email me directly, I have your email address and whatever you wrote. That is it.

What gets collected without you doing anything

The newsletter and contact forms are embedded from GoHighLevel as iframes. When a page containing one loads, GoHighLevel opens a session and records that the form was displayed, before you type or click anything. That happens on the homepage and on the contact page whether or not you ever submit anything. This is how their form software works, and it is worth knowing about.

This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those font files directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and general information about your browser in order to serve them.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.

The search box runs entirely inside your browser. Nothing you type into it is sent anywhere, including to me.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser. GoHighLevel and Cloudflare may set their own cookies for the form and for security. If you click an affiliate link, Amazon will typically set a cookie so it can credit the referral.

When a post contains affiliate links, that disclosure appears at the top of the post, above the first link, so you always know before you click. Clicking a link takes you to Amazon, where Amazon's own privacy policy governs what happens next. I never see what you looked at or what you bought. I only see totals.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has subscribed, email me and I will delete the record.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it. You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. I will do it. Depending on where you live, you may have these rights under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR, but you do not need to cite a law to ask me. I will honor the request either way.

You can block third-party requests to Google Fonts and GoHighLevel with a browser extension or your browser's privacy settings. The site will still work, though the typography will fall back and the signup form will not appear.

Changes to this page

If I add anything that collects information, such as analytics or a different form, I will update this page and change the date at the top.
